Matt Golightly Closed
Friday July 4th |
|
 |
Since graduating from The
University of Texas at San Antonio in 2002 with a degree in
Communications, Matt Golightly resisted the urge to take a nine-to-five
job and turned his, at one- time hobby, and true love - stand-up comedy
- into a career. His takes on dating, the club scene, politics, and
popular culture strike a comedic nerve with audiences of all ages. No
angst, no angry rants, just good clean fun from this self-proclaimed
“square.” His personable and likeable stage presence has taken him to
clubs and college campuses all over Texas and the southwest United
States. Matt has been seen on Fox TV, LAT TV, Late Shift with Kevin
Ferguson, and recently participated in the San Francisco International
Comedy Competition. He can also be heard providing color-commentary
during high-school football season along the Texas Sports Radio Network
and frequently writes for the NBA’s San Antonio Spurs website |

July 9 - 12
Slade Ham |
|
 |
Slade Ham is not standard fare in the
comedy world. Over the last few years, he's generated a cult following
of not only his stand up, but of the volumes of online Rants he churns
out weekly. Slade's show takes you places you thought only you had been
and when it's over, you realize there's hope at the end of it all. Its
not motivational or inspirational; it's just true. In addition to
headlining some of the finest clubs in the nation this past year, Slade
was also invited by Christopher Titus to open at the taping of his 5th
Annual End of the World Tour for Comedy Central at the South Beach
Comedy Festival. In 2006 Slade had the honor of headlining XM Radio's
Best of Texas two hour special. Slade Ham is on the verge of
something huge. The crowd simply never leaves disappointed. More
importantly though, they leave as fans. |

July 16 - 19
Jim Holder |
|
 |
Jim Holder is an 18-year veteran of stand-up
comedy who has headlined the most respected comedy clubs from
coast-to-coast. Jim started his career at The Comedy Workshop in
Houston, Texas, home of the "Texas Outlaw Comics" such as Sam Kinison
and Bill Hicks. From those early influences, Jim developed the passion
for stand-up comedy that he carries today. With an attitude aimed at
making people laugh uncontrollably, Jim strikes incredibly close to home
with his deceptively-friendly, yet cynical descriptions of everyday
subjects! Don't miss our Favorite Texas Native! |
